What taxes do I have to pay?

As a domestic worker, you only have to pay an employee contribution to the health insurance fund if

  • you have several marginal jobs that together exceed the marginal earnings threshold (for 2022: € 485.85)
  • or if you have a fully insured employment relationship in addition to a marginal employment.

The employee contribution amounts to 14.12% of the net salary and is paid directly to the health insurance fund. This contribution is due once a year at the end of the year.
